Upscale home décor and gift boutiques expand development’s offerings
Charlotte, N.C., May 24, 2016 – Charlotte-based commercial developers Crosland Southeast and Childress Klein announced District 5 Interiors, Simply Grand! and Mattress Firm as new tenants for the 90-acre Waverly development near the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads in South Charlotte.

District 5 Interiors specializes in quality, casual lifestyle furniture and accessories, with an eclectic blend of transitional, industrial and mid-century modern styles. The original District 5 Interiors opened at 628 W. Morehead St. in March 2015, and Waverly will be its second location, covering 2,400 square feet. District 5 is owned by Ginger and Gregg Goff, who have more than 30 years of experience in fashion and design. The Goffs also own Details Home Boutique at Park Road Shopping Center, which opened in 2008.
Simply Grand! will provide a unique shopping experience featuring Southern style, coastal influence and popular trends, including clothing for men, women and children; boutique accessories; special occasion items; seasonal décor; and decorative accents for gift and home within their 2,630-square-foot space at Waverly.
Mattress Firm was also announced as a new tenant and will occupy a 4,018-square-foot outparcel facing Providence Road, adjacent to CVS.

District 5 Interiors, Simply Grand! and Mattress Firm join more than 25 other retail shops and restaurants that have signed, including a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods, Waverly’s retail anchor, and 22,000-square-foot medical office anchor Novant Health, which opened last November, offering an urgent care and family healthcare, including pediatrics, physical therapy and other services.

Residential Update
Homebuilder David Weekley Homes has opened for sales and construction has begun in the builder’s newest South Charlotte community. Since officially opening in February, David Weekley has sold 16 homes and will have homeowners moving into Waverly this month. Starting from the $480s, the Executive Collection includes seven floor plans from 2,800 to 3,900 square feet. Priced from the $395s, the Village Collection offers buyers six floor plans to choose from, ranging in size from 2,300 to 3,100 square feet. Construction on the builder’s Waverly Townhome Collection will begin in late summer 2016.
The first apartments and amenities of Solis Waverly will be complete this month, including the resident lounge, fitness center and clubroom, which features a game room, media area and rotunda reception area. Solis Waverly will welcome its first residents by the end of May. Developed by Terwilliger Pappas Multi-Family Partners and Federal Capital Partners®, Solis Waverly is a 375-home apartment community that blends distinctive architecture and landscaping with amenities totaling more than 10,000 square feet.
