CMG Weekly's Women @ Work Luncheon
Join us on May 11th, 2018 as CMG Weekly hosts their Women@Work Luncheon at the brand new Waverly Hilton Garden Inn!
ABOUT THE EVENT
We will be celebrating the women of our communities and the role they play in our homes, government, churches, schools and at our offices.This isn’t just any luncheon, though. This will be an afternoon to be remembered for years to come!
Not only will we have an incredible lunch, but we will have a powerful keynote speaker, Mara Campolungo, co-founder and Executive Director of The Sandbox. We will also have Jacinda Jacobs, local T.V. personality and arena host for the Charlotte Hornets, to kick off the festivities. To top it all off, we will have swag bags, multiple raffle items to be given away throughout the event, as well as several vendors you can browse through before and after lunch!
ABOUT THE LUNCHEON SPEAKER
Mara Campolungo holds high regard in the business community for 25 years as a marketing and branding expert. Having built multimillion-dollar organizations from ground-zero she has a unique capacity to blend strategy with vision and inspiration to rally the efforts of diverse stakeholders. Deeply motivated by compassion, Mara has laid aside her many profitable endeavors to focus solely on philanthropic efforts. Mara’s current role as Co-founder and Executive Director of The Sandbox is a perfect culmination of her skills in building brands and companies with her ability to generate innovative ideas for the purpose of helping people in a very tough situation.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
The Sandbox serves families whose child has cancer, a life-altering, rare or terminal illness. Our two major focus areas to help families are: our Continuum of Care model, called our CARRE Program, and annual events such as our An Evening of Believing Prom. Our goal is to help Honorees and their families during the most tumultuous times of their lives so they can focus on the most important factors: Believing and Healing. We rally the community to meet practical, social, emotional and material needs through a wide variety of services, programs and events.
