David Weekley Homes begins construction on model homes next month
Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 28, 2015 – Charlotte-based commercial developers Crosland Southeast and Childress Klein announced that they have signed three new tenants for the 90-acre Waverly development near the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads in South Charlotte: ULTA, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, and Taziki’s.
“Our concept for Waverly was to provide a blend of retail, restaurants and services that will enhance the lifestyle of South Charlotte residents,” said Chris Thomas, partner of Childress Klein. “We’ve selected ULTA, the largest beauty retailer in the country, and Hand & Stone Massage to complement Waverly’s other retail options. Additionally, Taziki’s fits with our vision of providing healthy dining choices at a great value.”
ULTA (11,000 sq. ft.) – As the country’s largest beauty retailer, ULTA provides cosmetics, fragrance, skin and hair care products, as well as salon services in 817 stores in 48 states, including four others in Charlotte. ULTA offers more than 20,000 products from 500+ brands in a range of price points, including ULTA’s own private label. Each store offers a full-service salon featuring hair, skin and brow services. ULTA is known for its personalized service, inviting stores and Ultamate Rewards loyalty program.
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa (2,500 sq. ft.) – Providing services including massage, facials and waxing, Hand & Stone also offers a membership program in which customers can receive a monthly massage or facial at a reduced rate. Massage services include deep tissue, Swedish, sports, hot stone, trigger point and pre-natal, and facial services include signature facials, anti-aging, exfoliations and peels, and Microzone treatments. In addition, Hand & Stone sells products from professional skin care brands such as Dermalogica and ClarityRx.
Taziki’s Mediterranean Café (3,000 sq. ft.) – Specializing in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, Taziki’s is a fast-casual restaurant with more than 50 locations throughout the country, including six others in the Carolinas. Inspired by owners Keith and Amy Richards’ 1997 vacation to Greece, Taziki’s offers a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including grilled meats, sandwiches, gyros, salads, soups and vegetarian dishes. Taziki’s was the first restaurant in the country to earn the REAL Certification from the United States Healthful Food Council, which recognizes restaurants that strive to provide nutrient-dense fruits, vegetables and grains; emphasize local and organic ingredients; and serve meals made from scratch with minimal processed food.
These new tenants join more than a dozen other retail shops and restaurants that have signed, including a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods, Waverly’s retail anchor, and 22,000-square-foot medical office anchor Novant Health, which will offer an urgent care and family healthcare, including pediatrics, physical therapy and other services. Novant Health is set to open later this year, and Whole Foods is expected to open in 2016.
